Four people, said to be Jubo League activists, were injured in an explosion while making bombs at Uttar Laxmipur village in Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.
The injured were identified as Saiful Islam, 32, son of Bachhu Miah, Ripon, 35, son of Abdul Quddus, Shah Alam, 28, son of Siddiqur Rahman and Jamal, 25, son of Idris Ali. They hail from Uttar Laxmipur village of the upazila.
Police and locals said a bomb went off around 4:30pm while the four were making bombs at an abandoned broiler farm near Uttar Laxmipur village Primary School of the village, leaving the four injured.
Two of the injured --Saiful and Ripon -- were admitted to Sadar Hospital.
