3 Juboleague activists were caught vandalising vehicles after they pretending to be BNP/JAMAAT supporters protesting

2 Juboleague members were caught by local civilians while they were vandalising and hijacking near the Dhaka Chittagong highway in Sitakonde.
On Wednesday afternoon they were set free after they swore in the presence of respected personnel’s of the area that they will not do such crime again.
According to a local source, after the day long strike on Tuesday night around 7/8 criminals were seen around the Dhaka-Chittagong main highway, above the Barboku bridge and at the mouth of the Siraj Vuiya road of vandalising various vehicles and burning down 20/25 cars, hijacking and looting goods and money from passengers and snatching away their mobile phones.
The criminals were chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and various pro BNP/Jamat slogans while carrying out these atrocities.
Amongst those who were severely injured from their vandalised microbus was Najifa (11), Momtaz Begum (38), Monir Uddin (18), Mohiuddin (38), Mestaq Ullah (32) and others. They’re money and mobile phones were hijacked by the mobs.
Local civilians came running to the scene when they heard the screaming of passengers in their vehicle, they managed to catch the 3 perpetrators whose name was Suvas Das (18), Sobuj Das (22) and Shahin (19).
After they were caught they admitted they were Juboleague members and carried out these crimes under the order of Jamshed Uddin from Mahmudabad Village, the Former President of Juboleague at the Sitaku Degree College. They were told to vandalise and take money from people. Part of their group was the runaway Juboleague members; Fakirhat Alauddin, Alamgir and Hossain.
When asked why Jamshed had ordered them to do this, they responded by saying that BNP/Jamat Supporters vandalised Jamsheds shop on the 25th of October. Therefore as revenge they were told to carry out destruction by chanting BNP/Jamat slogans and get them blamed for it as well.
When Jamshed was questioned regarding this incident he denied the whole thing. He said that this was a lie BNP/Jamat had spread against him and denied knowing any of the detained criminals.
After the three attackers were detained by civilians on Wednesday at Sitaku, OC Mahbubul Alam of Sitaku district arrived at the scene to interrogate the detainees. When the civilians tried to hand them over to the police they left without arrested them after knowing they were members of the Juboleague party.
On Wednesday afternoon the detainees were set free after they swore in front of the village elites and personnel’s they will not do such crime again.

Vandal Juboleage worker arrested from Shibir's rally

One the 3rd day of the blockade a Juboleage worker threw a brick at an Army vehicle convoy. Shibir arrested the vandal on the spot and handed him over to the police. Last Monday Shibir brought out a rally at Pathanbari bazar of SSK road. As the rally neard Mahpipal near the Dhaka-Chittagong road, the disguised Juboleague worker Jahangir inside the rally threw a brick at an Army vehicle convoy. Immediately Shibir workers arrested him red handed, beat him up and handed him over to police custody. Arrested Jahangir Alom is the son of Shafikur Rahman of Pachgachiya union of Feni district. It has been revealed that he is an active worker of Juboleague. Local newspaper Alokito Bangla published the news.

1 ruling party man held for torching Hindu residents

One leader of Jubo League, the youth wing of ruling Awami League party, has been handed over to police by locals while he was escaping after setting fire on several Hindu residence at Debhata in Satkhira.

Detained Jubo League leader Abdul Gaffar said, he torched the Hindu houses as per his local Awami League leader's order. He mentioned three more names of his assistants to police. 

Locals  said, 15-20 miscreants with faces covered with masks torched the resident of Suneet Sarkar at about 11pm on Saturday at Parulia village in Debahata upazila, causing two house to burn completely.

Seeing this, local people started screaming and eventually the miscreant tried to run away .

Local people chased them and one of the mobs caught him red handed. He was handed over to police at about 9am on Sunday. Arrested Abdul Gaffar is the son of Elbar Gayne, resident of the same area.


Debhata police confirmed the incident and said, local people detained Abdul Gaffar and handed over him to police. Police will take due measures after interrogation.   

Asaduzzaman Mukul, Jamaat Ameer of Debhata upazila condemned the incident and said, Awami League wants to pin the blame on Jamaat after they themselves setting fire to the Hindu residents.

3 ruling party men arrested for attacks on judge's home

Three leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling party Awami League, were arrested with three petrol bombs while they were about to attack on the house of Justice Jahangir Hossain, judge of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-1), at Kabilpur village in Senbagh upazila of Noakhali district.

Senbagh police led by SI Shahjahan arrested the three BCL men on Saturday at around 11pm night.

The detained are - Ward No-5 Mahidipur unit BCL president Jahid Hossain Babu (22), son of Abdul Motaleb, Rasel Babu (20), son of Dulal Hossain and Omar Faruk (19), son of Shariat Ullah of Azimpur village.

On last Thursday (12 December) night, Justice Jahangir Hossain's house came under attack despite police presence.

Senbagh police Officer-in-Charge (OC) said, when SI Shahjahan went to the village of the Justice, locals caught them and handed them over to the police.

The detained were shown arrested in petrol bomb attacks on judge's home.



6 Awami League men burnt by their own petrol bomb

Six Awami League cadres were burnt when they tried to throw petrol bomb to a shop owned by a Jamaat leader. The incident took place at Hapania village of Alamdanga upazilla in Chuadanga district at 8:30pm on Monday.
The injured are indentified as Khokon, son of Ismail Mandal, Atiullah, son of Golam Mostofa, Intabul Hoque, son of Mohammad Ali, Minarul, son of Khoaj Ali, Hasibul son of Iajuddin Mandal and Abdul Gafur, son of Idu Mandal.
According to locals some miscreants attacked the shop of Beltu Mandal, a local Jamaat leader, at around 8:30pm. At that time 10/12 people were sitting at the shop taking tea. Miscreants threw petrol bomb targeting them. During that time they got burnt themselves.
The injured were admitted to Chuadanga Sadr Hospital.
Alamdanga police officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam said it is true that a Jamaat leader's shop were torched. But he denied of anyone being injured. The incident created tremendous sensation in the area.


4 Jubo League leader injured while making bombs

Four people, said to be Jubo League activists, were injured in an explosion while making bombs at Uttar Laxmipur village in Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.

The injured were identified as Saiful Islam, 32, son of Bachhu Miah, Ripon, 35, son of Abdul Quddus, Shah Alam, 28, son of Siddiqur Rahman and Jamal, 25, son of Idris Ali. They hail from Uttar Laxmipur village of the upazila.

Police and locals said a bomb went off around 4:30pm while the four were making bombs at an abandoned broiler farm near Uttar Laxmipur village Primary School of the village, leaving the four injured.

Two of the injured --Saiful and Ripon -- were admitted to Sadar Hospital.
